What causes the E-Rkive menu to no longer display in MS Outlook?

The E-Rkive Add In may become disconnected from MS Outlook.

Depending on which version of MS Outlook you are running will depend on exactly where to find the list of COM Addins. To reconnect E-Rkive, you must do the following:

  • Highlight the file called E_Rkive.dll then click OK.

    Click on Tools > Options, select the Other tab

    Click on the Advanced Options button

    Click on the COM Add-Ins... button

    Place a tick next to Email Archive Add In then click OK.

    The E-Rkive tool bar should appear immediately.

    If the E-Rkive does not appear immediately:

    • Click on the COM Add-ins... button on the Advanced dialog box
    • Highlight Email Archive Add-In then click Remove
    • Click Add
    • Locate the E-Rkive add-in file (.dll) in the installation folder (default is C:\Program Files\E_RKive)

    Reconnecting E-Rkive to MS Outlook XP

    The steps are the same for Outlook XP, the only difference is that the dialog boxes are slightly different.
