How does E-Rkive know which messages have already been archived?

Each time messages are archived, E-Rkive adds properties to the message. These properties define:

  • The date when the message was archived

  • What folder the message was stored in at the time of archiving

  • The unique ID reference created for the message in the archive database

Once a message has been flagged as archived where these properties are added to it, it cannot be archived again. If you need to be able to re-archive a message that has been archived previously, please check out the "E-Rkive Rescue".
