How can I activate E-Rkive when I am behind a firewall?

 

If you are running a firewall, this might be causing you a problem when attempting to activate your software

If you are unable to change/disable the firewall, you can use the Manual Activation method.

If you can access the internet from the PC you have installed E-RKive on, you should not have any problems following these steps:

  1. Enter your serial number in the space provided (copy and paste directly from the confirmation email)

  2. Click on "Manual Activation".

  3. Select "Activate using web browser on this computer", click "Next".

  4. Click the URL provided on the next screen.

  5. When the web page opens, the "Installation ID" field should already be populated with a code, just click "Submit".

  6. Copy the "Activation Key" that appears by highlighting it and press Ctrl + C.

  7. Return to the Wizard and click "Next".

  8. Press Ctrl + V to paste the code into the "Activation Key" field, click "Next".

  9. Click "Done".

Your software should now be activated.

If your firewall still stops you doing it this way, select the option at the start to "activate using a different computer that has web access". Its a little more manual but software will not attempt at all to access the web and you should be able to do it from your computer.
